My mother Arlene died of Frontotemporal dementia, following one of the worst case progressions I have ever encountered. At the hands of doctors, officials, police and trusted friends the ignorance, apathy, abuse and abandonment she (and my father and I) suffered was far worse than the disease itself.
Since 1999 I have studied and trained, using the knowledge to help others in St. Luke's Episcopal parish, where I was rector until answering a new call that developed over recent years.
In 2017 I pledged my life and ministry to alleviating the fear, the anguish and the ignorance that accompany most people into dementing diseases, so that others don't have to go through the nightmare my mother endured.
I place my training and experience at your service, to the glory of God.
